Welcome to Creature & Cub

Hi, I'm Jade Foo. I'm an established watercolour artist based in Fremantle, Western Australia. I work with my surly black cat CEO, Angus, and my over-enthusiastic receptionist, Humfrey the dog. These two are my sidekicks. They make me laugh and inspire me. They dodge the paint I spill on the floorboards and watch me pour love and care into the portraits I create.

I started my artistic career as soon as I could hold a paintbrush but formalised my skills when I studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Communication (Graphic Design) at The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. 

Along with patting new dogs at the park and drinking copious cups of tea, painting portraits of furry friends is my favourite thing to do. I love experimenting with how watercolours blend to create an organic and beautiful effect, and I find joy in making sure the distinctive personality of your pet shines through.
